The Harold Turner Collection

The Colossian Letter
This commentary on Colossians was written especially with the Bible class teacher in mind.  In it, Harold Turner does what he did best: show from Scripture what the verses mean.  Included at the end of each chapter are some handouts with questions for the class.  We highly recommend this wonderful work to you.

Authority For Christianity
This is a study of authority in the Bible, and how we must make sure our actions have that authority.  Includes chart.

Building Relationships
This study guide was used in our adult class to help us understand how to treat others, especially members of the church.

The New Testament Church (down for maintenance)
This study uses nothing but Bible texts to determine the importance of the church, the rule for faith and practice, the basis for the unity of the church, and the name by which the church should be identified.

The Way to Salvation
This study focuses on our need for salvation, and how we get there.  Very eye-opening study regarding what brings us "unto" (approaching) salvation, vs. what puts us "into" (entering) salvation.  Includes chart.

The Government of the Church
A biblical study of the eldership.

The Kingdom of God
This study guide was used in our adult class to show that the kingdom of God has already been established, contrary to popular religious belief.  Excellent to help us readily understand this topic.

The Old Covenant
This study guide was designed to show that the Old Testament (specifically the 10 commandments) are no longer binding upon us today.

Faith is Rewarding!
The entire religious world knows that faith has its rewards.  But where are those rewards given by faith according to the Bible?  Very good study letting the Bible speak for itself on how to get the rewards of faith.  Includes chart.

Studies in Worship: Preaching
This study guide helps show the authority in the Bible for preaching, and the need for it today for every Christian.

Studies in Worship: Giving
This study guide helps to understand what the correct attitude should be in our giving.  Uses Old Testament and New Testament examples of giving.

Study Guides for Bible Classes

This 13-lesson outline study guide deals with the questions "Is there a God?" "Is the Bible Inspired?" and "Is Jesus God?"  It is a detailed study, written in easy-to-understand language.  Written and compiled by Bradley S. Cobb.

VBS Lessons - "I Can Do All Things"
This is the books we created for the 3rd-6th grade classes, but it is applicable material for teens and even adults.  Feel free to reproduce and modify for your class!  Written by Bradley Cobb.  The lessons are:
       I Can Hear
       I Can Believe
       I Can Repent
       I Can Confess
       I Can Be Baptized

This publication was written/edited by Chuck Northrop, and was published by the West End church of Christ in Conway, AR.  The purpose of the paper was to evangelize non-Chrstians.  These publications are hosted here with permission of Mr. Northrop.

Bible Class Print-Outs

Alphabet of Acts
This is a great resource to help students (both old and young) learn and remember the events of the book of Acts, chapter-by-chapter.  The original author of this list is unknown.  One member at Gravel Hill has been using this list for over 18 years!  We have used it as part of a general introduction to the book of Acts in the adult class as well.

Find the Books of the Bible
This is a fun way to see how familiar you are with your Bible.  Hidden in three paragraphs are the names of 30 different books of the Bible.  See how long it takes you to find them all.  Great for pre-teen/teenage classes, as well as very revealing for adults as well.  If you still can't find them all, or are teaching the class and want to check their answers, you can download the Answer Key.
